From: owner-linrad@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:owner-linrad@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Sigurd Kimpel Sent: Wednesday, October 30, 2002 11:50 PM To: linrad@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx: tim@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx: [linrad] Help! I would like to run linrad on my Compaq 1250
laptop.
I installed RedHat Linux 8.0 on the laptop
successfully and after some difficulty:
1. Got sound to work using OSS driver for
ES1868
2. Installed svgalib 1.4.3
3. Went to /tmp/lir directory and successfully
ran ./configure
Then I tried to "make" the program. (see
attached file)
The GCC compiler version 3.2 first failed at line
643 with the error:
"main.c:643:14:
multi-line string literals are deprecated
make: *** [main.o]
Error 1"
I commented out the offending printf
statement and tried again and now I get"
"main.c: In
function `main':
main.c:827: parse error at end of input
make:
*** [main.o] Error 1"
Any ideas?
tnx,
