Thanks for the suggestions from one and all regarding computer 
configurations for linrad. Roger's (W3SZ) suggestion to check out 
http://www.nitehawk.com/linrad_dat/  was especially helpful as I was 
unaware of it.

However I don't see any laptops listed there.

Is there anyone, anywhere using any kind of laptop ?
