Hi Edson,
You are right. The message should have gone just to Arie. Sorry!
I do not think you are probably that much interested in the content
of that message anyway, as I get the impression that it
is a trivial problem, but here is the content in English.
"" I decided to change to another type of sound card. Sandblaster 16 CI.
I have a program here that lets you check the card and I think the card
is OK. I can record to a file with the MIC off and play the file back
from this Record program. ( MIC off, Capture on and PCB on )
I figure from the graphics displays that Linrad is working except that
it does not output audio.
The kmix program is working differently with this card than with the
AC97.
If I turned off the MIC in the AC97 with Kmix I could never get any audio
from the mic input terminal. And the incoming audio was always present
as output.
Questions:
Is the audio output switched as in a squelch? ( PCM )
If one mouse clicks on just noise, do you then hear noise?
Do you need real signal to get audio?
If I click on a signal in the freq. display it transfers to the
narrow band display.
Are there parameter settings in Linrad that block any the audio output?
If I click in file manager in Linux on a .wav file the sound
card plays the .wav file just fine via the unmuted PCM channel
( Mute PCM -> no sound ) ( No changes made in Kmix and Kmix
with the same settings as in Linrad with no audio out. )
Any real insight will be highly appreciated.""
