Hi Rob,
You didn't mention whether you got source code from the tgz
file of from the SVN repository. If it was the latter, you
should do "svn update" to update your code to r1147. Then do
$ ./configure --enable-g95
$ make clean
$ make
On my Kubuntu 8.04.1 system this now works OK.
I'll make a new tgz file soon.
