[linrad] OSS drivers

Hi I've cross posted on 3 groups,in case someone knows the quick answer to this.

I've taken the bull by the horns and purchased a delta-66 sound card, if downloaded the OSS drivers, 
which have recognisesd the existing cards in the system , but

[root@xxxxx Download]# ./oss-install
/dev/dsp*: No such file or directory
/dev/audio*: No such file or directory
/dev/sequencer: No such file or directory
/dev/music: No such file or directory
/dev/midi*: No such file or directory
ERROR: Module osslinux does not exist in /proc/modules



**** Open Sound System installation completed successfully ****

Device configuration has been saved to /usr/lib/oss/etc/devices.cfg
Execute /usr/lib/oss/bin/soundconf if you want to change configuration.

[root@xxxxx Download]# /usr/lib/oss/bin/soundon
Building the OSS kernel module - please wait...
Building the OSS/Linux module failed.

/dev/dsp*: No such file or directory
/dev/audio*: No such file or directory
/dev/sequencer: No such file or directory
/dev/music: No such file or directory
/dev/midi*: No such file or directory
ERROR: Module osslinux does not exist in /proc/modules

And every time anything OSS is run I get the warning that the volumn control has unexpectedly quit.

All the Alsa driver were working :), not now

I'm hoping this is well known, and I can avoid reinventing the wheel getting this going
