Hi all,
With pleasure I have read the presentation by IK2DDR
http://www.sm2cew.com/aw_pres_ddr.html
It is a pleasure to watch a wide portion of the spectrum
and be able to see when a new station makes his first
period of a CQ call. With very few wideband receivers
currently active, chances are good to be the first one
to answer - before any pileup:-)
When more stations start to use this technology it will
become different. When many stations watch for new stations
it will be much more fun to call CQ for everyone. The
probability to not be detected by anyone will become
small....
Just one thing, when you use WSE converters it might be a
good idea to place them side by side to give better cooling.
They do dissipate about 15W each and some air circulation
prolongs life. Vertically placed with a small air gap
(maybe 2 cm) between each box will give some air circulation
that keeps temperature down.
