[linrad] Re: Happy New Year for svgalib_1.9.24

Hi, Zaba, et al,

Happy New Year!

I found that 1.9.24 got rid of a couple of BAD Bugs:

1.  The VESA driver in 1.9.23 was broken when used with PCI-Express ATI  
RV370 (Radeon X300 PCI)

2.  The R128.c driver module was defective.

The combination of these two bugs meant that my Radeon cards would not  
work with 1.9.23 unless corrective patches were installed.

Pierre ON5GN figured out what was wrong with the Radeon driver and before  
1.9.24 came out sent me a revised driver that worked GREAT with my Radeon  
cards and 1.9.23!

Now, with 1.9.24 the Radeon Driver works FINE with no need for patches,  
and my Radeon cards are very happy [as am I].

Matan and Pierre/ON5GN are to be congratulated!

I run Linrad every day that I am on/listening to the radio.   
Unfortunately, that is not every day.  But it is usually several times a  
week, mostly during the weekends.  I hope that within 10 years it will be  
a daily thing ;)
