[linrad] Help with svgalib-1.9.18 & RH 9.0
Hi,
I have Red hat 9.0 with kernel 2.4.20 and cannot get svgalib-1.9.18 to
install. I followed Leifs' suggestions:
"The below works for Red hat 9 only.
1) Place svgalib-1.9.18.tar.gz where you want it.
Unpack it and you get a directory
........../svgalib-1.9.18
2) Edit the file:
........../svgalib-1.9.18/kernel/svgalib_helper/kernel26_compat.h
Change line 10 so it becomes identical to line 22.
3) Replace the file
........../svgalib-1.9.18/kernel/svgalib_helper/Makefile
by the alternate file:
........../svgalib-1.9.18/kernel/svgalib_helper/Makefile.alt
4) Type make install when logged to
........../svgalib-1.9.18"
However, I get the following error message:
make[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/svgalib-1.9.18/doc'
(cd kernel/svgalib_helper ; make modules_install )
make[1]: Entering directory `/tmp/svgalib-1.9.18/kernel/svgalib_helper'

make[1]: *** [modules_install] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/svgalib-1.9.18/kernel/svgalib_helper'
make: *** [installmodule] Error 2
Any help will be appreciated.
