Hello Håkan and welcome to Linrad.
There is no need to get a serial mouse, a PS/2 mouse can do the job.
Use the command 'less /etc/vga/libvga.config ' to display the file and
check whether the mousetype is defined as PS/2.
In case you have to modify the mousetype, first signon as su and use the
command 'joe /etc/vga/libvga.config' to edit the file.
