It seems people are different;-)

Hmmm, you are now in graphical mose:-)

Now, this time I do not feel uncomfortable because I designed it
myself:-)

Maybe. You might make a screen dump by pressing 'G'
and send that to me off-list. Before that I suggest you
try the F1 (help) button. In case that causes an exit with an
error message it is because of a bug that is corrected in 01-34.
To avoid this bug, click in the small box with an X inside it to
open the EME window or move the little box to the left side of
the screen at about half height. (The F1 help tries to fill the
window and if part of it is outside screen Linrad will exit
with an error code because actually sending such data to svgalib
would cause a hard system crasch with some device drivers under
some svgalib versions.)

The F1 help on the main menu will give general information
and on the processing screen it will show what objects you
can click on or what happens when you click on a particular object
as described in the general help.

You should be able to see the noise floor somewhere around 0 dB
without any input signal, use F1 to find the buttons to place
the noise floor within the window. It may be just below - you
can see where the dB scale starts. In case you do not see the signal
when you send something into the line input or the microphone input
you have to go to Kmix and change something that I can not give you
any help about. Hopefully Matt knows:-)

In case you see the signal when sending it to the microphone input
but not when sending it into the line input, again it is a Kmix
problem.

There are two kinds of SB 16 soundcards that I know of. Vibra 16C
which can run in duplex, but it is limited to the same speed
for both input and output. There is also the Vibra 16X which can not
do duplex at all. You can look at spectra and record the signals
on the hard disk and you can play the files, process the data and
get the result in analog form. I hope you have a Vibra 16 C :-)
