[linrad] Booting Knoppix ; HD-install; Re: [linrad] new CD
Hello Mike!
Congratulations on your progress! Ever since Knoppix 3.4 I have
used 'sudo knoppix-installer' to get it on the hard drive. I have
not yet downloaded Roger's latest, but the previous version went
smoothly with the above command. Had a little 'Linrad'-break due
to other circumstances, but soon there is need for real life use
due to the Es-season, and its possible DX-extensions...

P.S. The new Knoppix 3.8.2 boots fine; you may have a faulty CD.

I have two inquiries:
1) I am unable to get the latest W3SZ CD to boot. It tries to start and
I get a "Boot Failure" message. Anyone have any ideas?
2) I went back to the previous Live CD, and it boots fine. I have put
together a dedicated machine for Linux/Linrad, but can't figure out how to
do a HDD install. The Knoppix 3.7 Live CD ( Not Roger's CD) was installed
to the HDD by letting it boot up then from the root entering
knx-hdinstall. I tried this from Roger's CD and it did not recognize the
command. Has the command changed with version 3.8, or is it even possible
to do a HDD install from Roger's CD?
