Hi Rein,
It's said "digital audio" but I'm not clear about PCM yet.
Hmmm...ALSA is always annoying me, really easy to install but
very difficult to setup due to lack of easy guide/doc.
The worst thing is that there is no suitable example for Delta 44.
At any rate, you can obtain lots of informations (I hate these :-(:-) here;

There are many descriptions including mini howto etc.
Are you trying to install ALSA?
