Hi All.
Is there some instruction on the internet somewhere that describes this step in better detail (2. Install svgalib-1.4.3 or later)? The problem is that the file must be modified and a lot of intimate knowledge of the PC is needed. 73, Jim Shaffer, WB9UWA. Hi Jim,
Boy can I relate to your problem. I have been struggling with the same program. I believe I now have everything installed correctly.
I could not get the program to work with SUSE 9.0 I tried to install with SUSE on a Pentium 3 733 Mhz computer, also a Pentium 4 2.8 Ghz computer.
I did get svgalib to work with Redhat 9.0. I downloaded the .tgz file from the Linrad site and followed the instructions provided by Leif.I loaded it on my old Pent 3 computer. After I get everything working I will try Redhat 9.0 on my new machine. The same procedure did not work with SUSE 9.0.
My concern with the Pent 4 machine is the Nvidia FX5200 graphics card. I am not sure if svgalib 1.4.3 will work with the new card.
Stan, KA1ZE good luck
