Will initially be using a single CC17B2 at 78' with a LNATECH low noise cavity preamp.

Later plans for installing M2 28 el crosspols closer to the ground and the WSE boxes. 
4 each antennas in hand now.

Future upgrade to a AGP (8x) video card, ATI chipset Radeon, 9200  64MB  dualhead
Card in hand now.

Will try the SRD-1000 I/Q outputs to the delta-44 card initially until WSE is operational.

OSS drivers were painless to implement. OSS managed the installation and deletion of the 
old ALSA drivers organic to the SUSE 9.0 distribution.

Did not try the latest ALSA drivers

Will try Linrad 1-19  soon   (5 May 2004)

Will try runlevel 5 to get the OSS GUI mixer,  ossxmix

Mousetest still fails as "out of scan range"
but seems to work ok in Linrad. vgatest is OK

Linrad needed to find the svgalib_helper.o file
I did a   find / |grep -i svgalib_helper.o  to get the exact address, then
/sbin/insmod (the exact file location)  and all worked OK

Be sure to delete all old versions of svgalib.

the /sbin/insmod needs to be placed in a boot file to boot every time.
probably rc.d.local (?) as well as adding   soundon   to initiate the OSS sound drivers.

Overall it has been a fun learning experience. Every day my knowledge of LINUX is growing.
Now to learn the intricacies of LINRAD.

I initially tried to load RedHat 8.0 but was unsuccessfull, moved to Suse 9.0
Suse 9.0 does not support SATA hard drives only the older parallel ATA types.
